Embracing Our Families

Embracing Our Families (EOF) is designed to “embrace St. Paul’s families with faith-based resources, skills, and support to help raise strong, healthy, responsible youth.”

This ministry is directed at St. Paul’s families to provide support and resources to all our families with children and teens whether they are parents trying to guide their children through today’s challenging culture, grandparents who are concerned about our changing society, or just adults who love and care about children.

Meeting Sunday mornings during the education hour, EOF provides programs that teach and support all types of families.  Topics include Parenting 101, Communication and the Child, Single Parenting, Discipline, Communication and the Teen, and Anger.  The resource ‘Pro-Active Parenting’ is scripture based and uses faith and spiritual support as components to discussion.

Fun, annual family events include:

Mother/Son Hayride in the fall,

Game night in January,

a Father/Daughter Dinner Dance close to Valentine's Day, and an End of Year Celebration/ Picnic at Wesselman Woods Park in May.  More information can be found in the ‘Embracing Our Families’ section of the Epistle.
